Solution Development

When our solution design and custom development team at Silent IT is brought into an organization, we often see many applications that have been built without very much consideration for the company’s future growth. In other words, what works exceptionally well for 300 users probably won’t work very well for 10,000. Rapid growth tends to shine a light on these issues that only become bigger as the company gets bigger too.

So how does Silent IT get systems and applications better in sync with growth?

First, rather than assuming what solution is needed, we work to identify the root cause of the problem – and our methodology gets us there faster than many trial-and-error approaches out there. Once the root cause is identified, we can recommend the kind of architectural, informational and functional adjustments that need to be made in order to address the problem at hand.

For example, let’s say you have a number of disconnected systems that need to be better connected so applications can fulfill internal demand across the entire enterprise. So Silent IT digs deeper during our Assessment phase to uncover the root cause of the issue. In the process, we discover that one of those systems was built with a different architecture in mind. The sheer size of the database you’re using makes the challenge even more complicated. This calls for a totally different approach to how data is handled, including making sure we align the guiding principles of enterprise applications and architecture.

Long-term relationships are crucial for development too.

In our minds at Silent IT, better performance isn’t just about building a better application. It’s about helping you identify the “blind spots” you may have when it comes to the efficiency of your operation so you can improve those areas for today and for the long haul. What we do for you today as part of custom development is just one part of our overall performance improvement effort.

It’s all part of what we call a “relationship-centric” approach to IT. And at Silent IT, we plan on having you with us for a long time to fully appreciate it.
